Luella, beloved wife of Albert P. Ashworth, formerly of Westbrookville, died Saturday morning, at 4 o'clock, at Shushan, N. Y., aged 28 years and eight months. Her death was due to peritonitis. Deceased was born in Westbrookville, December, 1877, a daughter of George and Elizabeth Griffin. In March 1899, she was united in marriage to Albert P. Ashworth, of this place. Four children were born to the couple, three sons, Chester, Harold and Robert, and one daughter, Clara, the youngest being an infant. The deceased is also survived by her husband, one sister, Myra, wife of Stephen Cole, of Middletown, and one brother, John Griffin, of West Hoboken, New Jersey. Mr. and Mrs. Ashworth resided in Westbrookville until about a year ago when they removed to Shushan, where her death occurred as above stated. Mrs. Ashworth was of an amiable disposition and was loved by all who knew her. She was a kind and devoted mother and wife. The surviving family have the heartfelt sympathy of the community, in their sad bereavement. The body was brought to Westbrookville from Shushan, Monday, where services were held in the M. E. Church. Interment was made in the family plot in Westbrookville Cemetery.
