A feeling of sadness was felt in town this afternoon when it was learned of the death of Mrs Margaret Ellen Wilkinson, wife of Mr. John F. Wilkinson, of Bishopgate Street. The deceased lady had not enjoyed the best of health for the past three years, and had been under regular medical treatment during that period. Although her eventual passing was not unexpected, it was not realised that her end was so near, and it is came as a shock to her husband and family. She was a native of the Singleton district, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Smith, of Camberwell. Beside her huband, she leaves one son, Bevan, to mourn her loss. One other son, Berry, passed away about 18 months ago. Brothers and sisters of the late Mrs Wilkinson are : George Smith (Singleton), Harry Smith (Camberwell), Arthur Smith (Werri Creek), Ernest Smith (Muswellbrook), Mrs. Kelly (Maitland), Mrs. Kenny (Wallsend), and Mrs. Cunneen (Muswellbrook). The funeral will leave All Saints' church, following a service at 3 p.m. to-morrow (Thursday). Messrs H. J. Bartrop & Son are in charge of arrangements.
