Biography

Marie of Russia was born 17 October 1853 in Tsarskoye Selo to Alexander II of Russia (1818-1881) and Maria von Hessen und bei Rhein (1824-1880) and died 24 October 1920 in Zürich of unspecified causes. She married Alfred von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha (1844-1900) 23 January 1874 at Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg.
