Obituary
After some twelve months' suffering, endured with much courage and patience, Mrs. Mary Bailey, late of Upper McDonald, passed to her eternal rest, at the age of 67 years, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Cecil Thompson, at Wright's Creek on October 10. Her husband, the late Mr. Franc. Bailey, predeceased her by twelve years. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. R. Hunt, of Comleroy Road and Mrs. Cecil Thompson, of Wright's Creek, and four sons; Bert, Argyle and Arthur (Upper Mcdonald), and Ted (Wright's Creek).
The funeral took place on October 12, when the interment was conducted in the Methodist portion of the St. Albans cemetery, the Rev. M. E. Southwell officiating. The large attendance included all the B.N.A. committee, of which Mr. Bert Bailey is President. The many floral tributes, with their fragrant beauty, emphasised the reminder of Rev. Southwell, particularly to the mourners, that they as Christians, 'do not sorrow as those without hope.' To her family the Valley folk extend sincere sympathy.
