Mattinson Hunt was born circa 1826 and died 21 September 1877 Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Elizabeth Derome (c1828-1895) 27 February 1848 .
He arrived in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia on 19 (11?) June 1853 on the John Fielden with his family as a free settler (see here for details of the voyage).
