Maude Granade Callaway (May 5, 1900 - December 16, 1990) was born in Wilkes County, Georgia, the eighth of nine children born to Thomas Adam Granade (1859-1934), son of Georgia State Legislator Columbus Granade (1831-1914) and Nancy A. Beck (1833-1873); and Alice Estelle Fanning (1864-1941), daughter of Welcome Fanning (1799-1873) and his second wife Mary Elizabeth Heard (1828-1864). She married Brantly Mercer Callaway, III (1897-1992) on October 18, 1923 in Wilkes Co. She is buried in the Callaway Family Cemetery, Wilkes County, Georgia.
