Moritz Wilhelm von Sachsen-Zeitz was born 12 March 1664 in Zeitz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany to Moritz von Sachsen-Zeitz (1619-1681) and Dorothea Marie von Sachsen-Weimar (1641-1675) and died 15 November 1718 in Osterburg, Thuringia, Germany of unspecified causes. He married Maria Amalia von Brandenburg-Schwedt (1670-1739) 25 June 1689 in Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany.
