He married Sophie Hedwig von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1630-1652) 19 November 1650 in Dresden, Saxony, Germany. He married Dorothea Marie von Sachsen-Weimar (1641-1675) 3 July 1656 in Weimar, Thuringia, Germany. He married Sophie Elisabeth von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Wiesenburg (1653-1684) 14 June 1676 in Wiesenburg, Brandenburg, Germany.
