Moses Cleveland was born circa 1624 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom and died 9 January 1702 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Anne Winn (c1626-1682) 26 September 1648 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States.

Moses Cleveland (alt. Moyses, alt. Cleaveland) was the common ancestor of most Clevelands and Cleavelands of New England origin. According to court files, he was 39 years old in 1663, which puts his birth at around 1624. According to tradition, he was likely from Ipswich in Suffolk and sailed from London, arriving in Massachusetts as a child in 1635. He likely landed at either Plymouth Colony or Boston.
