Sources and notes

‡ General
  • Lived in "that part of Malden later annexed to Reading" (Bartlett, 1904, p. 83), which explains why some of his vital records appear both in Malden and Reading.
Ω Birth
₪ Wedding
  • "Evins, [Na]thaniel of Malden, and Abigail To[torn], Sept. 27, 1704" (VR Reading, p. 335).
  • "Evans, Nathaniel, of Mald., m. Abigail Foster of Reading, Sept. 27, 1704" (Corey, 1903, p. 229 [apparently drawn from Reading records]).
  • Bartlett, 1904 give wife's name as Abigail Townsend (p. 83).
  • There is neither an Abigail Foster nor an Abigail Townsend listed as being born in Reading (VR Reading); the wording in Bartlett, 1904, suggests that Abigail T. may have been born in Lynn.
¶ Death
  • "Nathan[i]el, Apr. 29, 1750" (VR Reading, p. 519).
  • His wife died just 18 days previously.
