Before Nehemiah married his second cousin, Bridgett Baglin, she had two children John Baglin (1787-1789) and Thomas Baglin (1789-1837); John Baglin died in childhood when he was only a couple of years old.

Bridgett and Nehemiah were second cousins, there common ancestors being Jonathan Baglan (c1670-) and Sarah Stone (c1695-). They had one daughter Mary Baglin born 1791.
