He married Ellen Dickinson (1823-1844) 28 May 1840 in Saint John's, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. He married Sarah Amelia Blackman (1827-1909) 25 January 1848 in St John the Baptist, Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia.
