Petrus Tol was born 6 May 1888 in Alkmaar, North Holland, Netherlands to Jan Tol (1847-1921) and Maartje Duijn (1852-1928) and died 9 October 1954 Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada of unspecified causes.
Peter moved with his brother Wouter to Portland, Oregon, arriving with the SS Statendam from Rotterdam in New York on the 29th of February 1908. He was naturalised on the 8th of February 1911. Peter served in the US Navy in World War I. He lies buried at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland OR.
Peter and his brother Jaap ran the company Toll Brothers of Stevenson, Oregon (not to be confused with the other Toll Brothers).
