Ralph Turnbull was born 5 June 1791 in Marylebone, London, England, United Kingdom to John Turnbull (1751-1834) and Ann Waugh (1778-1819) and died 17 February 1838 in Portland Head, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Grace Cavanough (1795-1828) 30 August 1813 at St Matthews in Windsor, New South Wales, Australia. He married Mary Anne Riley (?-?) 24 November 1829 at Presbyterian in Ebenezer, New South Wales, Australia. Ancestors are from the United Kingdom.


He arrived in New South Wales on 13 June 1802 on the Coromandel with his parents.
