The death occurred at Ulan on Friday last of Mrs. Rose Carr, widow of the late Mr. Robert Carr, aged 74 years. Deceased was one of the best known residents of the district, and her passing brought sadness to many, many homes. She is survived by the following family, to whom deep sympathy is extended, Lindsay (Mudgee), Mrs. Griffiths (Ulan), Mrs. Dacey (Melbourne), Mrs. O'Brien (Coonabarabran), and Mrs. G. Robinson (Mudgee). The funeral, which took place to the Church of England portion of the Ulan cemetery on Saturday, was one of the largest ever seen in that locality, friends being present from all over the district. The Rev. S. Carr, of Gulgong, officated at the church and graveside, and Mr. A. P. Connor carried out the arrangements.
