Rose Ives' origins are currently unknown.

1st Marriage[]

Rose married William Goldinge on the 19th February 1656 at All Saints Church in Sudbury in Suffolk. Rose's origins are unknown. Witnesses to the marriage were Abraham Ive (likely a relative of Rose) and John Golding (likely a relative of William).

Rose and William lived at Houghton Hall, Cavendish, Suffolk and raised their family there. They had 8 known children who were all baptised in Cavendish.

Death[]

Rose died in 1675 after childbirth of their youngest child, Elizabeth. Elizabeth was baptised in May of that year, so it is likely that Rose died in March or April.

Daughter Elizabeth died at aged 6 months and was buried on 7th December 1675.

William outlived his wife by 33 years, dying in 1708.
