Selah Wilmarth was born on October 29, 1760 in Attleboro, Massachusetts to John Wilmarth and Phoebe Briggs. Selah served during the American Revolution. He was with General George Washington'a army in New York when the British took it. He married Margaret Ruland on May 27, 1781. Selah died in 1820 in New York.
