Selwyn Victor Stickler was born 29 October 1894 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, United States to John James Stickler (1863-1932) and Ellen Clerke (1864-1947) and died 31 July 1990 Vero Beach, Florida, United States of unspecified causes. He married Katherine Winifred Kaufman (1899-1973) 22 January 1921 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Hazleton, Pennsylvania, United States. He married Dorothy Anderson (1911-1994) 1973 in United States.

Selwyn Victor Stickler (known as Vic) born in Lansford, PA 1894 was the third child of John James Stickler and Ellen Clerke. He grew up in Lansford but moved to Hazleton with his parents in 1916 when his father was appointed State Mine Inspector.

After high school, he attended the School of Dentistry at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. and graduated with a DDS degree in 1918. He opened a dental office in Hazleton to begin private practice.

He met Katherine Kaufman and they were married on 2 January 1921 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Hazleton. They had two children, Selwyn Victor, Jr. and John James II. Vic and Katherine lived at Alter Street, Hazleton, then moved to Conyngham (1932). He maintained a dental practice in both Hazleton and Conyngham, requiring a daily commute which he did through out his career.

Well-known in Conyngham and in Hazleton as both a dentist and friend, he was possessed of a gentle spirit and slow to anger. He enjoyed life best when telling humorous stories to his many friends.

When he retired, Vic and Katherine moved to Stuart, Florida and later to Vero Beach. After Katherine died in 1973, he married Dorothy Anderson. Vic passed-on at Vero Beach, FL on 31 July 1990 at age ninety six.
