Sydney James was christened on 26 June 1874 at Binda. He was employed in Crookwell as a Builder. Sydney married Vida Cassandra Mary Webster, daughter of Charles Samuel Webster and Mary Jane Howarth, on 18 September 1905 in Binda. By 1944 he was living at at Dee Why. He died on 7 October 1953 atand is buried at Crookwell Cemetery.
