Erratic numbers growth[]
Interesting to look at the first half dozen numbers: 1, 20, 25, 54, 63, 81 (15*), 156 (23*) ... KdG himself as a ruler (and a male) understandably could produce lots of children, but it seems strange that his 20 children produced only 25 between them. Was there a plague, or a war that cut off most of the young men?
A similar very small increase comes from gen 4 (54) to gen 5 (63). Same question. OK, part of the answer here could be that most of them were more generations away from monarchy and therefore less likely to have their affairs documented. But the same consideration should apply to the gen 5 to gen 6 growth (28%), which is proportionally almost double, though perhaps surprisingly nothing like as much as the gen 3 to gen 4 116% growth. Percentages in order are 25, 116, 17, 29, 93, ...
It could be that, for a combination of reasons, even Familypedia has not found all of the early generations of the great man's descendants, and probably nobody ever will. Still, those gen 4 people could deserve much closer study.

Gen 25[]
Deunhouwer (July 6, 2009) leaps ahead of us at generation 25. Maybe some of us who are not concentrating on gen 12 or 13 should give that area more attention so that we get ahead! -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 03:30, November 13, 2017 (UTC)
