[edit] Names and vital statistics
In the "Name = " insert their name, using the format "Surname, First" or "Surname, First Middle"
In the "Surname = " insert the surname, and if it has de, te, van, etc. those can be included.
In the "Born = " part, add only the birth year. If you do not know the birth year, leave it blank.
In the "Died = " part, add only the death year. If you do not know the death year, leave it blank.
[edit] Origins and migration
In the "Origin = " part, insert the name of the country the person spent all of his or her life (or the first part of it) in. If the country contains "the" in it, as in "the United States" or "the Netherlands," include that. (We may be able to amend this to cover states or provinces etc. You are welcome to add by hand any number of appropriate sub-national categories such as "Resided in Greene County, Ohio".)
If the page you are working on happens to be a person who migrated, the following fields can be used to categorize them.
In the "Immigrate1a = " part, insert the name of the country where the person lived before they migrated. If the country contains "the" in it, as in "the United States" or "the Netherlands," include that.
In the "Immigrate1b = " part, insert the name of the country the person immigrated to. If the country contains "the" in it, as in "the United States" or "the Netherlands," include that.
You may manually add lower-level migration categories such as "Migrants from County Down to Queensland".
Regarding the person's ancestry:
In the "Ancestry1 = " part, insert the name of any country the person's ancestor(s) were from. If the country contains "the" in it, as in "the United States" or "the Netherlands," include that. This applies to all 10 Ancestry fields.
