[edit] Maybe shorten its name
We will be encouraging lots of people to use this. Something shorter would make that easier and reduce the risk of misspelling (as so many people write "catagory") and be quicker to type. Even Template:SCat? OK, we can have a shortcut as a redirect, but that tends to appear along with its target under the edit box of any page that uses it. Robin Patterson 03:18, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

More manual work (and initially complex bot work). Why not use Template:Catmore, as I suggested near the beginning of this process, or a surname-specific variant of it? Robin Patterson 03:34, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
