Thomas Wallace was born 1745 in Maryland, USA to Joseph Wallace (c1720-) and died 1830 in Morgan County, Alabama, USA of unspecified causes. He married Rebecca Milligan (c1745-) May 1770 .


Thomas enlisted from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina as a private in Captain James Barr's North Carolina troops. He was part of a volunteer company of riflemen under Colonel Shelby's Regiment. Alabama Records, Morgan County Vol. 74 indicate that pension certificate #525 was issued to Joel Wallace (son of Thomas and Rebecca) for the service of Thomas Wallace under the Act of July 4,1836

Thomas Wallace is the first ancestor of whom I have documentary proof! He is the son of Joseph Wallace. He was born in Maryland in 1745 and married Rebecca Milligan in May 1770. He died in Morgan County, Alabama in 1830.
