She married Leonard William Snellman (1891-1941) 25 June 1919 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, United States. Ancestors are from the United Kingdom, the United States.

Vera born in Lansford, PA 1895 was the eleventh child of Isaac Stickler and Martha Ann Hill. She was fourteen when her father, Isaac, died. She married Leonard Snellman in January 1919 and had three children; Leonard, Martha, and Maude. Vera attended the Methodist Church on Bertsch St., Lansford, and sang in the church choir. Three years after her marriage, she and Leonard moved to Philadelphia. She died on 12 January 1981 in a nursing home in Lansdale, PA at the age of eighty six.
