Whitfield County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created on December 30, 1851. It is part of the Dalton Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2000, the population was 83,525. The 2006 Census Estimate shows a population of 92,999 [1]. The county seat is Dalton⁶.
