Biography

Wilhelm I. von Hessen, Landgraf von Hessen, was born 4 July 1466 to Ludwig II. von Hessen-Kassel (1438-1471) and Mechthild von Württemberg-Urach (1438-1495) and died 8 February 1515 in Kassel of unspecified causes. He married Anna von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (c1460-1520) 17 February 1488 JL in Hann. Münden.
