EWING, William "Bill" age 90, of Butler Twp., passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Bill was born in Liberty, KY, August 24, 1916, was a retired Major in the U.S. Army having served in WW II & the Korean War during his 22 year career. He was a member of Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church and was an avid golfer & gardener. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Pat and a son, Billy. Survived by daughters & sons-in-law, Vivian Thomas (James), Brenda Akers ( Ron Beaumont); son & daughter-in-law, James Ewing (Sandra); 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Phillips & Alene Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends in Dayton & KY. Local visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel" 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. Bernard Church, Liberty, KY. Interment with full military honors at St. Bernard Cemetery.
