William Montagu, 5th Duke of Manchester, was born 21 October 1771 to George Montagu, 4th Duke of Manchester (1737-1788) and Elizabeth Dashwood (1741-1832) and died 18 March 1843 Rome, Italy of unspecified causes. He married Susan Gordon (1774-1828) 7 October 1793 in Eaton, Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom.
